Our 5 Day Classic Safari combines the comfort of lodging and tented camping forming the perfect adventure for a first-time safari-goer, and we guarantee by the end of your Northern circuit journey you will be eagerly awaiting your return to Tanzania. We start the safari with a soft introduction of game viewing through the Tarangire National Park. The following day you will spent exploring the flora dense, Lake Manyara National Park; well known for the Tree Climbing Lions and paradise for an ornithologist. Then the UNESCO World Heritage Site; the World’s largest Caldera, Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During our 5 Day Classic Safari, you will experience the excitement of game viewing, with the possibilities of viewing the Big 5 throughout jaw-dropping scenery with the comfort of lodging and tented camping or glamping.

Day by Day Itinerary

As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Green Marsh Safaris guide greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like.

Overnight:Ahadi Lodge, Arusha.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Tarangire National Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them. Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants next to many more animals.

Overnight:Manyara Best View Lodge & Spa, Mto wa Mbu.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Lake Manyara National Park lies between Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, right along the 400 meters deep Great Rift Valley. The park boasts a variety of landscapes that attract many different animals. You can for example visit the lake that covers 75 percent of the park, pass through a dense rainforest with hundreds of monkeys and birds, and see elephants up close in the woodlands.

The famous Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's seven natural wonders the UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. The crater was formed two million years ago when a vast volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa! Once in the crater, thousands of animals such as lions, zebras, buffalos and black rhinos surround you, and the views are astounding.

Overnight: Ahadi Lodge, Arusha.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

This is a private safari, run exclusively for you and each vehicle holds a maximum of 7 clients. If an accommodation is fully booked we’ll suggest a comparable alternative where possible.

Night Game Drive in Tarangire on Day 2 for extra fee per person:

Night in Tarangire is another world altogether. Witness the landscape waxed in a silver moonlight as giant elephants make their way into and out of the shadows and be sure to keep an eye out for eyes shining back at you from the spotlight. For logistical reasons we must book alternative accommodation at the Tarangire Safari Lodge located inside the Tarangire National Park and additional accommodation charges may apply. Please note, this tour is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Night Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park on Day 3 for extra fee per person:

Night in Manayara is another world altogether. Witness the landscape waxed in a silver moonlight as tree climing lions and other predetors get out of the shadows for a night hunt, and be sure to keep an eye out for eyes shining back at you from the spotlight. For logistical reasons we must book alternative accommodation at the Tarangire Safari Lodge located inside the Tarangire National Park and additional accommodation charges may apply. Please note, this tour is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Olduvai Gorge on Day 5 for extra fee per person:

Visit Olduvai Gorge which is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world for early human evolution. The site is significant in showing the increasing developmental and social complexities in the earliest humans. Here you will enjoy free time to discover the museum before continuing to the Serengeti.
